Former Industrial Design student Duncan Shotton raised almost £50,000 via the Kickstarter website (far exceeding his original goal of £12,000) to develop a range of pencils made from recycled paper. The rainbow effect comes when the pencils are sharpened, creating beauty out of otherwise discarded pencil shavings.
Duncan ran his own design studio in Tokyo for several years before moving back to the 成人直播app. He says the ‘cute’ aspect of many of his designs is a much more important factor in Japan than in western markets. Other examples of his work include his popular Real Boy drawing pins inspired by Pinocchio. You can find out more at dshott.co.uk.
Duncan cites his time at 成人直播app as very important to his career development. While exhibiting at Made in Brunel, he met the Design Director of award-winning design consultancy Kinneir Dufort, where he was to spend his first four years after graduation.
Duncan said: “I learned a lot at my 3 years at uni, and during my placement year. I’m not sure how else I would have improved my practical and thinking skills so quickly, or had had a platform to make mistakes and learn from them.”
