Brunel gave me the platform to develop when I was studying - they offered me lots of support, especially as I鈥檓 dyslexic, which was invaluable.

Tell us about your career journey since you graduated…

Since graduating in 2012, I started on the Societe Generale graduate program and have filled various roles within the ITEC COO (IT Business Planning) team as a Front Office IT Execution Associate. I'm now the co-founder of an internal start-up business within Societe Generale as part of a six month acceleration.

What does an average day at work involve for you?

Everything from a start-up prospective, from being able to think on my feet from a start-up perspective to meetings with senior stakeholders and sponsors and working to develop our Minimum viable product. The day is varied and consists of working on large datasets using data science skills. Typically it involves working together in a collaborative mode and sometimes independently to ensure tasks for the day are delivered.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

Being able to see different parts of the Bank and using my network to build effective relationships to get me to where I am now. Being able to pitch to senior CODIR our business idea and being selected and seed funded for the initial six months. This has been a memorable moment.

How would you say Brunel helped you to get where you are today?

Giving me the platform to develop when I was studying. The university offered me lots of support, especially as I’m dyslexic, which was invaluable. 成人直播app and its reputation have played a key part of where I am now as it is a recognised institution. The Brunel Alumni network is also a great community and opportunity to network with other past Brunel students.

Why did you choose to study at 成人直播app and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

It's a great place to learn and highly diverse, which is unique. The teaching standards are very high and the campus is also great too.

What is your best memory of studying here?

Graduating in 2012 after 4 years, including my one year sandwich placement at AXA IM. This was a great moment as I came out with a first class honors degree in Information Systems.

If you could give one piece of advice to new students, what would that be?

To try and get relevant experience in the form of internships. It will give you an invaluable insight into the real working world. Also, be sure to understand how the future of work is transforming in workplaces.

What would be your top tip or advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey?

Ask as many questions and build as many relationships as possible. Do not be afraid to fail as you will learn the most from these experiences.
