Mr. Sai Bhanu Madhav Vissavajhala delivered an insightful talk on applications of OR in techniques Industry. OR involves using advanced methods to make better decisions and solve problems. In his talk, Mr. Vissavajhala explained how business companies use OR techniques like mathematical modeling and statistical analysis to improve efficiency, make smarter choices, and drive innovation. His presentation showed the practical benefits of OR in areas like managing supply chains and developing new products.

The session started with few general questions about applications of OR. Then we delved into the 鈥淎pplications of OR in different areas鈥� where we came to know that it can be used by businesses and also in daily routine. We learned few techniques like 鈥淢athematical optimization and analytical hierarchy鈥� which is helps making better decisions and also improve their operations by continuously finding new applications across various industries. Then, sir explained about the traits of LPP, its characteristics and also few examples of LPP like minimization and also, we have learned how to ensure the objectives of LPP.After LLP, sir explained one of the important aspects in OR that is 鈥淩epresentative approach鈥�, which is known as analytical method of problem solving and decision making, that is very useful in management of organization. In which problems are broken down into basic components and then solved in defined steps in mathematical analysis and sir explained by making use of a Flow chart. Then, sir took a case study for making us a better understanding. The case is about services of a company and took 3 years data for consideration and explained us very detailly. After the case, sir explained about how to solve a LPP problem in multi criteria decision making. The session ended with an interaction between the expert and students.
