Brunel Law School appoints first Practice Chair in Commercial Law

​Barrister Suzanne Rab to join Private and Commercial Law this month

 will join Brunel Law School this month as their first Practice Chair in Commercial Law.  As a UK qualified lawyer with two decades of practice as a solicitor and now barrister, Suzanne brings multi-disciplinary commercial law academic and practitioner expertise. This is a part-time appointment, enabling Suzanne to continue her professional activity as a barrister with .

Head of Brunel Law School Arad Reisberg welcomed Suzanne saying: "Suzanne's appointment is a strategic investment for the School, helping us build more connections to practice and the City as well as promoting a successful female role model to our students. Suzanne was a guest speaker at our  last October, and last June she ran our first international Competition Law Summer School in June.  A major part of Suzanne's role will­­­­­ be to ­­­­­expand our Summer School.  She has supervised, mentored and lectured to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Oxford University, the Open University and Imperial College London."

Suzanne looks forward to joining campus: "I am delighted to be joining  Brunel to chair their experienced and expert commercial law practice.  I am looking forward to leading a programme which will provide opportunities to further the nexus between academic and professional practice, building on strong intellectual foundations and real-world application.  Now more than ever legal practice in the 成人直播app faces great challenges, complexity and opportunities, which is why this role is particularly interesting.  My practice combines law, economics and policy, in the 成人直播app and overseas, and I share Brunel's vision and focus on these areas and the connections between them." 

Having been an advisor to the  and  on legal professional services regulation, Suzanne has acted as Counsel and Special Advisor to the  in EU law, competition and data protection.  She is a member of the education committee of Lincoln's Inn where she provides advocacy and EU law training anda Mediator accredited by .  She has extensive experience at the interface between IPR and competition law and in financial services, most notably advising the  and the .  Prior to her call to the Bar Suzanne was a director in the economics and strategy practice of  and had senior roles in leading international law firms, most recently as partner.
