Multimedia
The Brunel Multimedia team offer a range of services, including video editing, DVD/ Blu-Ray authoring, and video on demand. We encode video files for social media, PowerPoint/Keynote for teaching and learning and promotional material. We will ensure the use of software in accordance with the legally relevant licensing and copyright agreements.
Streaming Service
We facilitate a video on demand streaming service which is public facing. Video Files are currently streamed in MP4 format at 720p
Note: Streamed video files cannot be downloaded at present.
Videos uploaded to the streaming server can be directly linked to Blackboard learn, a link is made available to the requester which is added to Blackboard.

Encoding Service / Digital conversion
There are many recording formats, for Windows or Mac OS. Some formats will only play if you have the appropriate software/hardware installed on your machine. We can encode from digital File, Tape (Mini DV HD Tape & VHS) or Disc (DVD & CD) and Media Cards (SD, CF and also Memory sticks)
Editing Audio/Video and Stills
We provide a complete editing service to meet your requirement, this can be footage recorded on tape, card, DVD or provided to us digitally. You might want to use just a small part of your footage or require highlights of specific video footage.
We provide titling, special effects, colour correction and audio enhancement services and can provide the completed video for you in any popular format you may require.
Production services
We produce DVD and Blu-ray with menus and artwork and soundtracks for your edited video footage or any video file. We can also provide a data file if required.
PowerPoint & Keynote Presentations
We can create interactive presentations with animation, images, sound and video.
We can also create presentations with voiceover recorded in our audio suite and insert your video into PowerPoint and Keynotes presentations.
Excerpts of off-air recording
Media Services provide an off air recording service. We can extract excerpts from the recordings as a digital file for lecture use.
Capture audio
We can capture audio from CD, DVD, or any other digital file in popular audio formats i.e. wav, mp3, aiff. The audio can be used in Keynote/PowerPoint presentation or streamed.
Capture video from a DVD
We can capture the contents of a DVD for use in teaching and learning or for re-editing purposes.

Please note these services are labour & technology intensive therefore process times are dependent on individual requests and current workloads. Any video material provided will not be retained by Media services, please ensure you retain the master copy for your own future use.
