Brunel is Britain’s first university to earn a top-flight national stamp of approval on the chances it creates for staff to learn on the job.
The new Government-backed rates the quality of UK apprenticeship programmes, awarding organisations silver, gold or platinum.
Brunel is the first university among 12 employers to gain the gold and is recognised for how well it supports and challenges apprentices and handles their training.
“This is an important milestone,” said Brunel Head of Apprenticeships, Sam Black. “It will support our ambition to ensure our internal apprenticeships act as a blueprint for success other organisations can follow.”
Brunel has trained 55 apprentices on jobs ranging from property maintenance and commercial through to apprentice senior leaders on MBA degrees. The news comes at the start of .
