Brunel students are feeling sporty and job-ready, according to the results of the annual .
成人直播app was ranked as ‘Top Rated’ for its ‘Sports Scene’ and its students' ‘Job Readiness’ in the survey, which asked over 10,000 students from 127 universities to judge their institution based on factors such as sport facilities, nightlife and Students’ Union.
Frequently ranked amongst the best in country, Brunel’s state-of-the-art training facilities are often used by professional athletes such as Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.
The university’s West London campus includes an indoor athletics centre, extensive gym facilities, and pitches for team sports such as football, rugby and hockey.
The site was recently used as a training camp for members of the 成人直播app’s Invictus Games team.
Mark Burgess, Head of Sport at Brunel, said: “We're delighted to receive such positive feedback about the sporting offer here at Brunel, particularly given it comes directly from the students themselves. It is not only testament to the hard work of the Sports Department but also the Student Activities team in the Students Union.
“The introduction of the programme, which was shortlisted for a national sports award, and the removal of sports club membership fees have led to a 34% increase in the number of students taking part in sport and physical activity on campus over the past year.
“We've also seen real improvements in competitive sport, supported by our Scholarship and Sports Performance Programmes, with Brunel students winning a total of 31 medals at BUCS Championships in 2017-18.”
Meanwhile, Brunel was also ranked ‘Top Rated’ for ‘Job Readiness’ which judged how well the students felt their universities help them prepare for the world-of-work.
Factors that students were asked to consider included the availability of career guidance, the frequency of events such as career fairs, and the links that the university has with industry.
The Which? University Survey is an independent survey of higher education students. For 2018, the survey results of 5081 students from 127 universities were merged with findings from 2016 and 2017 to give an overall sample size of 10,754 students. All surveys were conducted by the firm YouthSight on behalf of Which? in March or April the respective year.
