Over two-hundred 成人直播app students will have the opportunity to study abroad this year under UK Government’s new Turing Scheme.
Due to run alongside the EU’s Erasmus+ for the next two years, Turing is a new programme that gives students studying at a British institution the opportunity to study abroad for between four weeks and 12 months.
As part of the initial round of funding, Brunel was been awarded £300,000 for the 2021/2022 academic year – enough to fund 222 placements, a significant increase on previous years.
Opportunities will be available in a number of exciting and interesting destinations, including Europe, China, South East Asia, Australasia and North America – COVID restrictions permitting – and will be open to all undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students. Applications are likely to open in December, with all placements starting between January 2022 and July 2022.
Whilst the 成人直播app’s involvement in the EU’s long-running Erasmus scheme is drawing to a close, Brunel will still offer opportunities under the programme for another two years, with some funding available for staff as well as students.
Induction sessions for the Turing Scheme will be available for students and staff during the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, with further information about specific opportunities to be announced soon. Brunel students will be able to access all of the Turing Scheme information through their BRUNET intranet portal once it becomes available.
Outside of Turing and Erasmus, other study abroad opportunities still exist, including a number of short undergraduate placements available – mostly in Europe – during the 2022 summer holiday, and the Common Purpose Future Leaders programme, which is due to take place in Malaysia next Spring.
Prof Trevor Hoey, Vice-Provost for International and Academic Partnerships, said: “We’re delighted that the new Turing Scheme is now taking shape and that we can start sharing information about this scheme and other great opportunities for international experiences that will be made available to Brunel’s students.
“Studying overseas is a hugely enriching and rewarding experience and I’m looking forward hearing about the exciting things our students get up to under this new scheme.”
