Radio Hillingdon is a charity providing patients of Hillingdon Hospital with regular programs; this includes national and international news, local events information, health and well-being advice, and a diverse selection of music upon request. The organisation aims to mitigate the effects of sickness, infirmity, and/or old age residents of the London Borough of Hillingdon by offering a local broadcasting service to hospitals, hospices, care homes, and/or similar institutions.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will participate in all fund-raising efforts for Radio Hillingdon. As a Fundraiser, you will develop teamwork, research, and communication skills.
Typical duties include:
- Identifying and pursuing diverse funding opportunities
- Participating in local fundraising activities, including bucket collections at supermarkets
- Engaging in Radio Hillingdon Roadshows and other fund-raising events, such as quiz nights, fairs, and the 100-hour Marathon
- Maintaining open and consistent communication with the Fundraising Coordinator
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 3 months commitment in addition to two references and a DBS check (fully funded).
