The Ealing Anchor Foundation formerly known as P.E.S.T.S (Parents of Ealing Self Help Training Scheme) provides information, advice, and support to parents and carers of children aged 0-5 with SEND (diagnosis not required) and living in the London Borough of Ealing. The organisation delivers a range of workshops, events, play groups, advise sessions, and support groups dedicated to building and empowering the local community.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will help and support the charity in promoting the timetable of events on their Facebook page and other platforms i.e., Workshops, Play sessions, and Parent carer evenings. As a Social Media Volunteer, you will learn a set of skills such as digital content creation, community engagement, tailoring content and strategies, analytics, and data interpretation.
Typical duties include:
- Crafting engaging posts, visuals, and videos for different platforms to highlight the charity's events and initiatives.
- Utilising social media management tools to schedule, post, and monitor content, ensuring a consistent online presence and timely promotion of events
- Responding to comments, messages, and mentions, creating a welcoming and interactive online environment for supporters and interested parties
- Regularly reviewing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of posts and campaigns
Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
