Identifying the Relation Between Stress Related Behaviours and Functional Cerebral Asymmetry in Dogs
Funder: The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜB陌TAK)Duration: January 2018 - August 2021
This interdisciplinary project has discovered the relation between stress-related behaviors of dogs and Functional Cerebral Asymmetry (activity-related differences between two brain hemispheres), which manifests itself with paw preference. This is important since the method suggested in the study can be used to assess the level of dog welfare without the need for invasive procedures such as cortisol measurement.
