Hague Mothers is a FiLiA legacy project. The overarching aim is to end the injustices created by The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, specifically for mothers and children who are fleeing abusive relationships. More specifically the project is:
- Amplifying the voices of the women who are further abused as a result of decisions made under the Convention to return their children;
- Raising awareness of the issues in multiple arenas including the 成人直播app Houses of Parliament:
- Working with international lawyers, domestic violence and children’s rights experts, women’s groups, and Hague victims, to put right the injustices perpetuated by the Convention
Global Lives member, Dr Adrienne Barnett is part of the Hague Mothers Strategy Group working to increase the influence and effectiveness of this project on a global stage. Global Lives is immensely proud to support this incredible effort. We were recently in a position to help facilitate an international symposium on the Hague Convention and the injustices that surround this law as well as discuss international efforts to find pathways to more equitable outcomes for mothers and families caught up in Hague cases. We will continue to forge and facilitate partnerships to contribute where possible to this incredible effort.
