The Project
This exciting research project is focused on PHYONA which aims at developing an ethical and sustainable method to upcycle metal contaminants from polluted soils and manufacture high value nanoparticles and cellulose-based natural fertilisers. The project aims at regenerate contaminated soils for agricultural use while recovering metals for the energy industry. The methodology used by the project is based on plant properties to hyperaccumulate metals and act as reducing agents for nanoparticles nucleation.
Please contact Dr Lorna Anguilano at Lorna.Anguilano@brunel.ac.uk for an informal discussion about the studentships.
