The Social Work department at Brunel recently ran a conference around our perceptions of body image in the modern age.
The conference, titled ‘Diets, Mirrors and Corsets: Body Image, Well-Being, and Social Work Practice’, featured a number of presentations around the impact of social media and other visual culture on how we perceive our bodies and what impact this has well-being and mental health.
