Research area(s)

My research focus is social development and I have been part of collaborative research teams undertaking research in Australia, Wales, Indonesia and Uganda.  This has included studies about the following topics; community impacts of the closure of a car manufacturing industry; refining a community based mental health intervention; community development in childhood obesity prevention; and social policy evaluations.

I have also worked to support the development of social care research capacity, which includes supporting practitioner research and developing evidence enriched practice drawing on diverse forms of knowledge. 

I am involved in the Developing Evidence Enriched Practice Programme (DEEP)
